All products used should be ORGANIC, and essential oils should be Therapeutic Grade A ONLY!
CONSTIPATION: Canned pumpkin, very small amounts. It could be an obstruction, watch closely if no immediate improvement get to vet!
DEHYDRATION: Pedialyte (as much as they will take) replaces electrolytes (lost due to diarrhea).
DIARRHEA: Canned pumpkin, small doses. Sweet potato or squash) baby food. Cats: 1 tsp twice a day. Make sure to treat for DEHYDRATION! Giving a nursing mother cottage cheese can be used sparingly for a limited amount of time. Dose? Still researching…
DRIPPY EYES: Sweet potato (or squash? still researching) baby food. Cats: 1 tsp twice a day. Dogs? Still researching.
FUR BALLS: Add 1/2 teaspoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil to daily meals for one week. (Feed a good natural diet to correct this problem).
HOT SPOTS: Saturate cotton ball with witch hazel, apply directly to hot spots for several days, but you have to trim the hair all around the hot spot down to the skin 2-3 inches around it.
INSECT STING: A swollen muzzle often indicates a bee sting. Remove the stinger with tweezers. Wash area with baking soda and water. Apply ice pack 5 minutes at a time to reduce swelling. 1mg Benedryl per pound, 3 times in a 24 hour period. If animal is still not recovering in 24 hours take to vet.
MANGE: Neem Oil, kills mange mites on contact!
VARIOUS SKIN AILMENTS (one or more of these may help): Flaxseed oil works wonders! You can also dab with aloe vera, apple cider vinegar, baking soda/water mixture, epsom salt/water mixture (1 teaspoon to 2 cups warm water), witch hazel prior for immediate relief. Some work better on one animal than another and depending on irritation.
